Simple. The reason why I picked "Found a New Edge" is because it was a new project that I wanted to work on for a project-based class called EDGE, which enables students to do something unique and reach a goal so employers or clients can look at what they did. I was originally going to do the Disney College Program. But it fell through. So I reset my declaration to getting a manuscript submitted for approval by a publishing company. It was more up my alley because it is something that I've wanted to do since elementary school. With new mentors and tutors that would help me out with this, I became a better writer. I made scenes clearer and used more active voice to keep the reader engaged in my work. That is my new edge. I got told thanks but no thanks by Summer Solstice Publishing, but it motivated to become better. And that's what I did so it could be read by audiences everywhere. Later being adapted into a movie or show. ;)
I hope to get more stories published in the near future and continue to evolve beyond this point. After receiving my Bachelors in COMM, I want to do internships and keep building my resume. Also to add to my long-term goals including getting married, starting a family, and having this awesome career that will be talked about by generations to come.
